![]() When it comes to performance and safety, your vehicle’s tyres are extremely important. ![]() i think mercedes knows they have a real problem this year and i think we shouldn’t understate that from a business side with daimler possibly pulling out there’s also some internal conflicts probably going on - i’ll reserve my full judgment until the austria races are done but my personal opinion is that it’s messier than 2016/2018 and so the championship might drag out until very late in the season (although, i have a strong suspicion we’ll know the wcc before the wdc has been decided) - then again RBR didn’t do so well in the portugal/spain double header so nothing’s set in stone just feels different than it did against ferrari, especially cause it seems rbr are in better shape internally than ferrari was at the time I believe monaco knocked mercedes a little more than expected and then baku just became the icing on the cake, i think since testing they know they don’t have the strongest car, really it’s neck on neck with RB so all the issues with their cars from the past couple of years that didn’t cost them as much - read tyre heating/wear - now are costly and without the DAS (their car was designed around it last year and now this year you don’t have the DAS + aero reg changes + limited capacity to actually /change/ the design of the car, it is all piling up.
